Notes: I've always been drawn to the idea that our most terrible technologies of war could be put in the service of values higher than mythic imperialism and capitalist accumulation. As a kid I was obsessed with World War II trivia and G.I. Joe comic books, in part because I found the weaponry so exotic. Here, beings and artifacts from both the biosphere and the noosphere are marshaled to keep safe a hermit in the forest exploring the interior dimensions (represented by the green-headed individual seated at center).
